About Mountain Culture

Mountain Culture programs promote the understanding and appreciation of mountain places by creating opportunities for people to share and find inspiration in mountain experiences, ideas, and visions.

Showcase programs include the Banff Mountain Film Festival and World Tour, Banff Mountain Book Festival, the Banff Mountain Photography Competition, Adventure Photography Workshop, Filmmakers’ Seminar, Grants Program, Mountain Forum, Speakers’ Series, and more. Mountain Culture programs utilize the arts, through writing, film, and photography.
