"It was a magical night in Denali National Park, Alaska, when
the moon rose over the great peak of Denali. It was especially
clear, with the ideal amount of evening sun left to light up the
scattered clouds and the massive, snow-covered peak. Wonder Lake
provided the perfect reflection of the deepening colours, the
moonrise and the mountain. One of my favourite photos of
Alaska!"
An adventurer-naturalist, Kennan Ward has been
photographing and writing about wilderness and wildlife for over
30 years. Photographic assignments have taken him and his wife,
Karen, to remote regions all over the world. Alaska remains a
lifelong interest. His work has been featured by many national and
