James Gardner

James Gardner, B.Sc.,M.Sc.,Ph.D., is a Professor in the Natural
Resources Institute and the Department of Geography at the
University of Manitoba. He served for 10 years as the Vice
President (Academic) and Provost and now serves as the Executive
Director, International Relations at the University. Prior to this
he was a Professor and administrator at the University of
Waterloo. His research activities over 35 years have been in
geomorphology, hydrology, glaciology, and natural hazards
management in mountain regions, principally the Himalaya and the
Canadian Cordillera.
