Tony Prato
 
Tony Prato is Professor of Ecological Economics, Chair of the
Department of Agricultural Economics, Co-Director of the Center
for Agricultural, Resource and Environmental Systems, and Director
of the Missouri River Institute at the University of
Missouri-Columbia. He has over 30 years of research and teaching
experience in agricultural and natural resource
economics/management, and has published over 150 journal articles
and reports and a textbook. His research interests includes
developing spatial decision support systems to enhance natural
resource management, evaluation of the ecological economic impacts
of changes in land use/management, conservation and management of
protected areas, and assessing the effectiveness of public
policies for sustainable resource management. Dr. Prato received a
Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Economics and an MA degree in Applied
Statistics from the University of California-Berkeley, an MS in
Agricultural Economics from Purdue University and a BS in
Agriculture (with honors) from the University of Connecticut.
