Syed Ainul Hussain is a faculty member of the Wildlife Institute of India, an autonomous Institute of the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India. He is an ecologist with an interest in conservation planning at landscape level. He conducts research on free-ranging forms of wildlife and their habitats with specific interest in aquatic vertebrates. He is also conducting extensive surveys of wetlands of Ladakh for conservation prioritization.
