Harry Vandervlist

Mountain poetry in the Old and New worlds

Harry Vandervlist teaches literature at the University of Calgary. In 2000 he edited Mind Over Mountains: Jon Whyte, Selected and Collected Poems, and he has collaborated with The Banff Centre to offer university courses on mountain writing in 2002 and 2004. He has published articles and reviews in Avenue Magazine, Quill and Quire, The Calgary Herald, The Globe and Mail, and other publications. Since 1998 he has written “Bookends”, a column on literary events for FastForward Weekly.
